This 18-Year-Old’s Tongue Is So Long She Can Lick Her Elbow

This is Adrianne Lewis, an 18-year-old from Twin Lakes, Michigan. She’s got a bit of an unusual gift.

That being her 4-inch-long tongue!

Lewis believes she has the longest tongue in the world, and was in Ripley’s Believe It or Not at the age of 13 to show it off. She’s now trying to get in the Guinness World Records book.

Try and lick your own elbow. For most people, it’s impossible. Not for Lewis.

And with some help from her hand, she can even lick her own eyeball.

Though I’m not sure why you’d want to.

Lewis wrote on Twitter that she’s had a Gene Simmons–worthy tongue for as long as she can remember. It apparently runs in her family.

Though having a monster tongue hasn’t always been fun for the teen. “In elementary school, I was made fun of a lot,” she told Barcroft TV. “I would just [flick my tongue] in bullies’ faces and freak them out.”

But some of the comments tend to be a bit, er, distasteful for her boyfriend, Tim Hegedus. “It’s the internet so there’s a lot of weird people there,” he said. “I’ve seen some comments that have made me uncomfortable.”

The current record for the world’s longest tongue is 3.97 inches, held by California resident Nick Stoeberl.

Lewis said she’s been rejected by Guinness three times so far, but she’s not going to stop trying.
