Sachin Tendulkar Asks Sourav Ganguly to 'Stay Young as Always'

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted an old image of himself with Sourav Ganguly on the occasion of the latter's 43rd birthday on Thursday.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly have put on many-a-memorable partnerships together for Team India all through their illustrious playing careers. The relationship has only matured and grown stronger over the years. (From football to cricket - Sourav Ganguly's busy 43rd birthday)
On the occasion of Ganguly's 43rd birthday, Tendulkar posted an old picture of them together on Twitter, clearly showing that the mutual respect and admiration between the two has stayed intact.

Tendulkar and Ganguly, legends both, ruled the 1990s and the 2000s as one of the most-feared opening pairs in ODIs. They amassed 6,609 runs together, including 21 centuries and 23 fifties between them.
But numbers hardly paint the complete picture of the fantastic camaraderie between the two. Their association goes a long, long way before they put on India colours.
"I met him at the Under-14 camp in Indore and the first thing I noticed was how much he wanted to bat. He had to be literally pulled out of the nets because the rest needed to be given a chance. At the age of 15-16, he was using one of the heaviest bats. He was my roommate in the MRF pace academy. He used to walk in his sleep. When I asked him, he said he had this issue. This used to keep me awake," Ganguly fondly remembered during Tendulkar's book launch in November 2014.
Roommates as aspiring cricketers, immensely successful opening partners and two stalwarts who have lived through the various highs and lows of Indian cricket in the last two decades together -- it's a partnership that will 'stay young as always.'
