When Ronnie Brower went to the doctor in 2013, he got a grim prognosis. His weight was going to kill him. At only 28 years old and a staggering 675 pounds, dependent on drugs and alcohol Ronnie couldn't walk out of his house any more. He could barely stand up from a chair and it wouldn't be long before he would be completely immobilized by his weight. Doctors said he wouldn't live to see 35, and his remaining years would be miserable.
That day, he decided he had to make a dramatic change to his life if he wanted to stay alive. Ronnie – with the help of friends and family - signed up with a trainer and had a nutrition plan made up. He couldn't make it to the gym yet, but a hand-bike was brought in to his home so he could start his weight loss journey. From there he moved to hand weights and chair squats at home. Soon, Ronnie made it to the gym where his daily workouts intensified.
In one only year, he lost 264 pounds by pushing himself to work out almost every single day with trainers while his friends and loved ones cheered him on. He didn't have gastric bypass, didn't have cosmetic procedures and wasn't on a magic fat burning pill. All the weight Ronnie lost, came from his hard work and strict diet. Now it has been over 700 days and Ronnie is keeping up with his workout regime and is continuing to get into better and better shape.

What inspired him? Taylor Swift. During his workouts he listens to Taylor and it helps him to keep going. For the first time in June 2015, Ronnie will be going to see Taylor Swift, live in concert. Two years ago, Ronnie couldn't have dreamed of going to the concert – he couldn't leave his house, walk up stairs or even sit up on his own without great effort. Now, on June 5th in Cleveland Ronnie will watch Taylor live from Section 101, Row 1, Seat 1.
