Humans Of Bombay/ Facebook

Celebrity hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani is known for a lot of things: her quirky sense of style, her wicked tattoos and mostly her don't-mess-with-me attitude. But the exterior one sees betrays no memories of the horrific gang-rape incident that she endured 20 years ago one Christmas Eve in Chicago: the Bigg Boss (Season 6) contender recently shared her chilling story on the Facebook page Humans of Bombay, saying she was accosted outside a bar late at night by a group of men who threatened her with a gun, and forced themselves on her.

Update! The Homeless Man Spotted Playing Piano Gets A Fresh Start

Donald Gould, the homeless man who was spotted playing the piano at an open art exhibit just a week ago, has been given a new lease on life.
After the original video went viral, many people reached out wanting to help the former Marine. As a result of this support, Gould received a makeover and a paying gig at Michael's On East in Sarasota, FL. While this is inspiring in and of itself, it actually gets better. Donald says that the opportunity has increased his sense of worth, and that he's now hoping to get in touch with his son, who he had been too embarrassed to reach out to in the past.
We're certainly rooting for him!

When A Homeless Man Sat Down At An Open Piano, People Were Not Expecting THIS!

As part of an interactive project in Sarasota, Florida, seven pianos were set up around the city. The pianos are open for anyone to play, inviting people to come make beautiful music for their fellow man. I had heard about projects like this before, but I'd never seen it in action until now.
As a pianist myself, I can honestly say that an empty piano is an incredibly hard thing to walk past without longing to touch the ivory keys. Many talented musicians have graced these keys, including Donald, a former Marine, who ended up on the streets after battling a drug addiction. Donald is 51 years old, and he is known around his city for frequently stunning crowds with his amazing talent. I could listen to him for hours!

Barred From Civil Services Due To Disability, Meet Ira Singhal Who Just Topped The 2015 UPSC Exam

Ira Singhal suffers from scoliosis. Which means that her spine is bent.

Fortunately, her spirit isn't, and she was determined not to let her physical disability limit her.

Source: Facebook
The 31-year-old had first cleared the Civil Services Exam in 2010 and had been allotted the Indian Revenue Services (IRS). But the revenue department refused to giver her a posting because of her deformity and her height (she can't twist her arms because of her deformed spine and she's only 4 feet 5 inches tall). The official reason given was  her "inability to push, pull and lift".
But even after the revenue department eventually relented, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) refused to give her a posting. But that didn't deter her either.

A Blind Patient Asks The Nurse To Look Out The Window. What She Sees? I Have No Words

Sometimes the world is really what you make it -- and this incredibly powerful short film is definitely proof of that.
The story features two elderly gentlemen. One man is blind, while the other man is very ill. They become friends, and spend their days talking with each other and telling stories. The man who is ill has a bed next to the window, and he helps his blind friend "see" the world by describing the goings on outside the window. Together, they share a lot of laughs about the different happenings outside the window.
One day, the ill man is transferred to a different unit, and unfortunately the blind man loses a dear friend. When the nurse comes into his room, he asks her to describe what is happening outside the window. Her response is truly shocking! This beautiful story is a great reminder that no matter your situation, it's all about perspective.
