Feared and respected for their on-field abilities, Chris Gayle and David Beckham could have been deadly together if they played the same sport. Instead, they looked their suave and gentlemanly best when they met each other at a London shopping center.
One could score a goal on the football field from a mile away. The other is known to dispatch the ball a mile away. So when iconic footballer David Beckham literally bumped into celebrated cricketer Chris Gayle in a chance meeting, it made for a classic - albeit impromptu - photo-op.
Gayle posted a picture of his coincidental meeting with Beckham while the Jamaican was shopping in London on Wednesday. Currently in United Kingdom where he is playing for Somerset, the 35-year-old was all smiles as he and Beckham shook hands, posing for the photograph.
Gayle also tweeted about meeting the legendary footballer. "I've said before, it doesn't hurt to do a bit of shopping! @davidbeckham," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
