Television actor Sanjit Bedi popularly known as Dr Omi in famous television show Sanjeevani used to come on Star Plus, passed away Tuesday at a Mumbai hospital.
The actor was in coma for a long time and was reportedly suffering from a brain ailment. The actor survived by his wife.
According to reports, Sanjit’s funeral was held at Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines at 11 am on 24th June Wednesday.
The actor was part of popular television shows like Jaane Kya Baat Huyi, Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasman, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, Kasautii Zindagii Kay amongst quite a few other Balaji shows.
His death has come as a shock to his friends and fans. TV producer Nivedita Basu tweeted, “Just heard the sad news of #SanjitBedi leaving us today #RIP. Popular TV actress Kamya Punjabi wrote, “RIP Sanjit bedi!!!”
As soon as his death was announced, condolences started pouring in from his friends, family and fans on Twitter.
