Movie Review: ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ Is A Great Epic Film To Watch

Baahubali: The Beginning is a grand, mythical epic with special effects so seamlessly woven in that 98 per cent of it looks real!
It is Avatar meets Gladiator meets Game of Thrones and in a good way. The story is a fantasy that starts with a dying woman trying to save a baby from royal guards who are trying to hunt them down and kill them.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns review: Kangana's brilliant in half-good sequel starring Madhavan

A crowd pleaser is a film that induces seeti and taali from the audience, making sure they go back home feeling they’ve spent their money on something cheerful. One way to do this is to flesh out a story with an unusual conflict and resolve that conflict in ways that surprise the audience, while also shoehorning a social message into the film in the process. Another way to make a crowd pleaser is to aim for the lowest common denominator, establish an unusual conflict and resolve it using unbelievable contrivances, while dishing out crackling dialogues, soap-opera style dramatic beats and social messages. Tanu Weds Manu Returns is one of these films.

Mad Max: Fury Road review: You should not miss 2015 best film starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron

There are two sorts of people who are eager to watch Mad Max: Fury Road — those who harbour a lust-fuelled interest in Tom Hardy, and geeks who have been waiting 30 years for the follow-up to Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The rest might wonder what's the big deal about a reboot that has hellish jalopies and Charlize Theron at her most unglamorous.

Here's the answer: Mad Max: Fury Road could well be the best film that will come out of Hollywood in 2015. Skip it because you don't care for dust, grubby men, almost-bald women and/ or action movies, and you'll have missed greatness.

Sepia-tinted frames, baroque set design, outfits which can put any erstwhile or contemporary designer to shame. Anurag Kashyap's baby, Bombay Velvet, is unadulterated beauty on celluloid.
