Last month we got the first trailer of Priyanka Chopra's American television show Quantico introducing the actress as Alex Parrish, a 'half-Caucasian and half-Indian origin' trainee FBI agent, who is accused of a terrorist attack.
Now we have another sneak-peak of ABC's upcoming drama, and this time it all about Priyanka Chopra. The actor tweeted out a link to the latest teaser, which is barely 14-seconds and literally shows us the bare minimum of the show.
The clip opens with a close-up of her face as she stares at the camera in a grim and vaguely seductive way. It then and pans out to a long-shot showing Priyanka wearing nothing but a flag with the logo of the FBI National Academy and a pair of handcuffs and shackles, while a husky male voice-over says, "The FBI's top recruit is now the world's most wanted."
However, the second teaser does nothing but reiterate through symbolism that the protagonist is a good-looking woman who is dedicated to her work but is falsely accused.The first trailer set the stage for the show - a typical US law enforcement suspense-drama, complete with rigorous training, serious FBI agents, gun-toting, emotionless bosses, even a bomb blast along with introducing Parrish's friends, enemies and love interest.
While the first trailer established Chopra's character as a strong-willed woman, the second is little more than objectification.
In fact, the flag-and-handcuff style looks more 'Fifty Shades of Grey' less 'FBI suspense-drama', which is unfortunate considering this show is supposed to be Chopra's international debut as an actress. In the next trailer, we hope to see more of PC's acting on the American screen.
Quantico is about a group of young FBI recruits, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia till there's a blast and Parrish is held guilty for it and has to prove her innocence.
