When Bill met Glad, she was only 8 years old; he was her brothers best friend. They grew up together, and although it was obvious that Glad had a little crush on Bill, it wasn't until he was 17 that he fell for her - after seeing her dolled up in a beautiful A-line dress. Bill and Glad have been together for 50 years, but a few years ago, Glad's health started to deteriorate and she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Despite her disease, Bill has stayed by her side, taking care of her day and night - he doesn't consider it a burden, it's what you do for the ones you love. Watching this video, I couldn't stop my eyes from watering. Bill and Glad remind me so much of my own grandparents, who have been married for 57 years. They love each other dearly - they do everything together. They've both encountered problems with their health, but they take care of each other. Just like my grandparents, Bill and Glad's love is everlasting.
