This would send a chill down any woman tourist's spine. Two women, who recently went on a holiday to Goa, were abducted and gangraped by a group of five men who were posing as policemen. All five were arrested by police later after a taxi driver who was driving the women managed to escape.

Taking note of the report here that Sohanlal Bhartha Walmiki, who brutally attacked Aruna leaving her in a vegetative state for four decades, Mumbai Police said that they will seek legal opinion to decide on any further action against him.

Ms Shanbaug was in the Intensive Care Unit of Mumbai's state-run King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital. Doctors had said a few days ago that Ms Shanbaug was suffering from pneumonia and was on ventilator support.

Doctors at Mumbai's state-run KEM Hospital, where she worked and was raped, said Ms Shanbaug is suffering from pneumonia and is on ventilator support, but added that her condition is improving.
