It's a Battle Rap Beat-Down - Of Compliments!

Battle rappers Pat Stay and Rone had an epic face-off and it was ... aww, kind of sweet actually!

The two rappers have a reputation for beating down their opponents with rhymes and insults, but at last year's Hopscotch Festival they mixed it up and tried to out-nice each other.

"You're so majestic a fucking beast that it's impossible to clown you!" Rone says. "You're so good looking a man, but that's the least interesting thing about you!"

Pat Stay is Canadian, though, so he's got to be pretty hard to beat. "Boy, I'm gonna compliment you 'til you have such a confidence boost you be doing the helicopter all cocky walking through an NBA locker room!"

As part of an interactive project in Sarasota, Florida, seven pianos were set up around the city. The pianos are open for anyone to play, inviting people to come make beautiful music for their fellow man. I had heard about projects like this before, but I'd never seen it in action until now. 

As a pianist myself, I can honestly say that an empty piano is an incredibly hard thing to walk past without longing to touch the ivory keys. Many talented musicians have graced these keys, including Donald, a former Marine, who ended up on the streets after battling a drug addiction. Donald is 51 years old, and he is known around his city for frequently stunning crowds with his amazing talent. I could listen to him for hours!

I love hearing people cover popular music -- often they come up with unique arrangements that take the song to a whole new level. Sometimes I even finding myself enjoying the cover more than the original song, and this is definitely the case after listening to Inka Gold's AMAZING rendition of 'Unchained Melody.' I have never heard the song performed with a pan flute before, but I love it! What do you think?
